Karen Trenton

Karen Trenton joined Sherritt in February 2007 as Director, Organizational Development and progressed to Managing Director, Human Resources in 2008, and Vice President Human Resources in 2012.  In February 2014, Ms. Trenton was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources and provides leadership to the enterprise-wide team of HR professionals to develop, implement and execute all aspects of HR services.  The multi-functional HR team is responsible for attracting, developing and retaining the talent necessary to achieve Sherritt’s goals, and in building the high-performance culture necessary for future growth.

Ms. Trenton has over 20 years of experience in the areas of organizational and leadership development.  Prior to joining Sherritt Ms. Trenton worked as a Human Resources leader at Coca-Cola Enterprises for 14 years and prior to that at Imperial Oil Limited.

She is a graduate from the Mount Royal University Public Relations and Journalism program and the Rotman Human Resources program  She is a Certified Human Resources Executive and a member of the Human Resources Professional Association.
